WHO: BlackDanielWhite + Hannah Sturges

WHEN: SATURDAY (BI-WEELKY) NOON – 2PM

WHAT: Black Pop began as a party series dedicated to bringing alternative danceable music to the
Black nightlife space in NY and NJ. The party is a space for young Black and Brown people to
enjoy sounds from artists like Kaytranada, Amaarae and PinkPantheress in a scene dominated by Top 40 Hip-Hop, Afrobeats and R&B. Demonstrating a keen ear for what’s next, Founder,
BlackDanielWhite began integrating performances from rising stars like AMAKA, Natanya and
Essosa. Since the party’s inception, the need for a space to discuss and amplify the artists that
exist in this ecosystem has only increased. The Black Pop Show is a program which integrates
conversation, games, music, interviews and skits to amplify the burgeoning crop of talent
making accessible, danceable music.
